um shouldn't it be "rum"? not "rhum"? unless thats the way the brand name is spelled

Well, I checked and the name is 'ron' in the original language (spanish I guess), 'rum' and 'rhum' are internationsl spellings. I used the second for no particular reason, since we use both in Italian :3

This explains something! Influencial science fiction fans in the 1940s saw the Italian spelling "Rhum" (as they were pouring out of the exotic Italian rum bottle)! So they decided that the improved spelling (with the 'h') was to show that the object was sacred, and worthy of (too-informal) respect.

Adding 'h' became used sometimes: Such as the sf fan and writer "Bhob" Stewart. And the famous: "ghod".
