flexing the otie vorejaws
doodling some more science on those otie jaws i came up with a while ago because i wanted to see how horribly uncanny they’d look like in action.

Kind of I suppose heh. Not quite as effectively as snake coiling would go nor tight enough to constrict the prey's breath out, but it does provide a nice little bagel of doom to keep the prey in place while the beefy gullet moves in to do the constricting part
Perhaps they more akin to some mustelids; extremely flexible to allow them to hunt in tight cavernous environments. That gives you that wonderful bendiness without it being just 'A snake but a wolf/dog'.
Of course it's your creature and if it's a 'It just is' then that's fine. It's just fun to seek reasons.
