Yep! I figured it was time I updated the ref again. Now it's got a few more goodies, like a background, detailed clothing options, and now a bio as to what DeeVee is and why he changes forms so dang much.

Basically, DeeVee is a jackrabbit (or a human in some continuities) who wanted to experience transformation, so he tried to get himself turned into a tanuki since they're renowned shapeshifters. However, the spell he tried worked a little too well, and created an alternate trickster tanuki personality inside him that likes to lay in the back of his subconscious, while transforming DeeVee into everything under the sun, mucking around with his species, his gender, sometimes even turning him into inanimate objects.

DeeVee calls this second personality 'Koichi.' Koichi sometimes TFs DeeVee into things by his request, sometimes as a joke, but he never puts DeeVee in harm's way. Sometimes he may give DeeVee a 'joke' form that actually comes in handy (e.g. making him a tiny mouse girl after dropping something under the couch so she can run and get it, or turning him into a whale after he falls off a boat).

Sometimes Koichi can even switch places with DeeVee, becoming the dominant personality, or even physically separate himself from DeeVee for up to four hours.

Nonetheless, DeeVee and Koichi maintain a symbiotic, if somewhat unusual, relationship, as each considers the other a part of themselves.

As a consequence of his tanuki abilities, DeeVee is also highly susceptible to cartoon physics, being easily flattened, stretched, or inflated. Also, sometimes, if Koichi turns DeeVee into something when he's touching someone or right next to them, the transformation may also affect them.

Lastly, being a jackrabbit, DeeVee has an alternate winter coat that comes in every year.
