This is amazing. I want to see this sped up to see if it helps when the frames being a little sticky in places. Also, have you thought about maybe some subtle motion blurs?

Thanks! In the photoshop save preview it runs a lot faster (looks much better too), but I'm going to have to investigate (google-fu) how to make the end result gif run quicker. Motion blurs are a good idea, I'll have a play around with that later.

the only thing that seems odd about it is how the foot seems to come back after lifting. That would only really make sense if this was someone running.

As for perfection, I have never seen an animation that was absolutely perfect; there is always something in them that catches the eye as an imperfection. We are talking about an animation here, too, that has been hand drawn frame by frame. For this to be something done by one person (an incredible challenge to get right), this is mind-bogglingly nice!

As for the hitches that are in it, they are being caused by browser playback, not the animated gif, itself. When viewed in animation software, it runs with a completely smooth flow. There isn't really any way to fix this except reducing the image resolution and thereby reduce the quality of the presentation by doing so.

Excellent progress, Molotov. This is turning into something absolutely beautiful. Once you get shadows and highlights in place, it is going to be something that absolutely blows hair back.
