It's some really rough animation for my film that I did. This'll be kind of the introductory scene.
It'll be really dark in the room, and then the alarm clock blares and you see the blue light illuminate Alex (protagonist's name), who responds accordingly by slapping the snooze.
But, it turns on again, and he reaches out to turn it off, and knocks it over. He gets his tired as up after that. Hope it communicates okay! You'll be seeing more of this to show you that I'm doing shit.

You don't animate over them, what you do is you clean them up and refine them, like you should in any drawing. You always go from general to specific, and you render everything at the same time instead bit by bit so can control the general body parts easier!
Do it rough, get the feel of the motion, and once you do, you "tie it down" by cleaning it up, while trying to maintain the spontaneity and life of the gesture.
