Finally back to being able to post!
An ex fighter, not able to pick his life back up after leaving the old life of paid violence behind. Spending a moment with, similarly over-looked, feathered friends.

Oh wow... so beautiful, sad, and yet... uplifting all in one single image. That is some profoundly amazing emotional and story conveyance skill you got there. Perhaps this is a bit of an "ah ha", inner peace moment for him too - realizing life has simple pleasures that one can enjoy as much as others. Would be really amazing to have this develop into a story (if it isn't one already). ^_^
Here is a pleasant song written from the point of view of the pigeon lady from Home Alone 2. (Pleasant sounding, kind of melancholy.)
There are so many layers to this picture, I don't even know where to start. The overall theme is a sad one of course, but there's an element of comfort in it. The expression on the dogs face is fantastic and conveys real emotion, I love the pigeons too (rock doves are one of my favourite birds) as well as the details in the background. This is a beautiful piece and you should be proud of it UV x
Not being able to draw anything of a higher level than stick figures, I'm always weary of formulating an opinion on the technicality of any piece of art, however striking it is.
Maybe we are not there to discuss technics but more about how any sensitive soul should feel slapped in the face by emotion when you discover it. And that's what art is meant (imho) to be.
Then later comes time to analyse and dissect but in the end (or from the beginning?), art speaks for itself, may it be thru our memories, scars, inner demons, hopes… sometimes altogether. In such a moment, you know you want to have this art accompany you for some of your path in life (and are glad when life allows you to afford to do so).
Thanks again for having the guts of giving us such an adult piece of art. I still have to frame it properly and find it a proper place to hang it at home ♥️
