02-01-20 [Cute or Cursed? Ostrich Cactus]
Hey noodle what did you do today?
Well around 10ish I woke up because dad came downstairs and turned the lights on. I went to the bathroom and switched off the light (via the pull-cord) and went back to sleep. I woke up again when he asked me for my keys so he could move my car, and I gave them to him and went back to sleep. Then mum woke me up around 12ish and told me it was a pretty day and I should come outside!
OKAY! O:
I got up and brushed my teeth and put on a flannel, then headed outside. I didn't see either parent, so I figured they were working around the houseboat. En route to walking up there I thought I heard a shout coming from the area where we store the wood mill is, but I didn't see anyone and so I continued to the houseboat. As I crested the hill I saw mum in the Polaris turning back into Southern Komfort Rd, and dad following her with the tractor. I jumped in with her and she explained that they were cleaning out the fire pit, since it had built up into a p big mound.
We headed back to the fire pit and she did a round about so she was pointing 180 degrees from where she was...Then realized she just needed to pull forward, so she had to do another 180, lel. I then took the shovel and helped scoop things into the firepit and away from it as needed, while dad used the tractor and scooped up the ash and soil and soot and dumped it in the back of the Polaris. When it was filled he and I took it up to the 13 acres, to a spot near the creek, and he dumped it back. Because of the heavy clay content I had to use the shovel to scoop it out while he held the brakes, then after he pulled forward and we took some dry grass and used it to clean the remaining sediments out as best as possible.
After, we drove back home (dad slowed down enough for me to grab a box on the side of the road I'd seen since earlier that day (Yikes! There was a box inside the big flat one that was from China!)) and put the stones back around the fire. It was a bit messy, but not by much!
After helping I took my shoes off and went upstairs while mum and dad took the trash to the dump and stopped to get burgers from Fast Eddy's. While that happened, I browsed 4chan while petting black kitty (he wanted to be a lap cat!), then when they came back I ate the delicious burg and fries with a cold pebis, then got ready and headed to Murray.
I got there around 3:30 and texted Jesse. He said he'd be there by 4ish, but it took him until about 5:30 to get there. That's fine! I spent time typing and goobing off and even taking a smol nap in my car. I was feeling a bit melancholy...Not much, but it was one of those slightly cool days with clouds that catch the sunlight in such a way that they become lined with neon ribbons, and for some reason those kinds of days always inspire a deep seated, calm sadness within me. I'm unsure why these days create such a feeling, but they do. As an aside: At one point I had a list of over 20 different and distinct types of sadnesses. I need to either find that list, or recreate it.
Regardless, when Jesse arrived I headed inside with him and watched him play Doom 2016 on Nightmare. I got hungry so I ordered a large mushroom pizza with stuffed crust, a 2 liter Pebis, and a brownie tray from Pizza Hut, since I didn't feel like heading out. They arrived with my pizza and I ate a couple slices and a piece of brownie, then put it away in the fridge. I had a little whiskey mixed with Pebis, but overall I decided not to drink much. I didn't wanna feel sick, and because I was already coughing (which causes me to already feel like vomiting when I do it a lot), I forwent much of the drinky-drinky.
Jim arrived and told us about how he got iced (Finding a hidden Smirnoff Ice someone planted, and having to chug it) at work 4 times, and how his cake was a Smirnoff Ice. Then Wes arrived, but he didn't have LSD. Dang! Oh well!
We had a pretty good night. I was still feeling a little glum, but not by much! We kinda just goofed off in the living room and outside most of the night. Jim and Wes and I did go downstairs, where the two of them went through and called dibs on some of Joey's old pipes and bongs, then we went upstairs. Jesse was kinda nodding off on the couch while watching the Simpson's (The last parts of Season 8, and the beginning of Season 9). I stayed until the end of 'The Principal and the Pauper', which is largely considered the first crack in the Simpson's flawless veneer, but still a good episode. Wes tried waking Jesse up a bunch even tho I tried talking him out of it, and thankfully he went to Jesse's room and passed out on the bed. Jim took the Jim-couch, and a little before 4 I went to my car and tried falling asleep (I took an empty bottle of wine that I filled with water, since I get thirsty at night).
I hope everyone has a Jim's 36th Birthday day! <333
