Fun stuff. How's that triangly-barreled VTR shooting for you? I was never quite sure what to think about those, myself.

well, I am a newbie to scoped bolt actions, and all I knew was that I wanted a rem 700, so thats what I got. its the first real high power centerfire rifle I have owned personally, so not much to compare it to. It is heavy enough without being a bull, and the muzzle break is kinda nice, and the trigger is frickin amazing,but there isn't much more about it I would want.

Ah, fair enough. I was never really sure if that was a gimmick or if it was a good alternative to conventional fluting.

Is that one of their new adjustable triggers, though?

those x mark ones, yeah. rock solid at 3 pounds, zero creep, and considering I am used to twice that, it seems like the bugger fires with a hard wish.

is that a Magpull AR mag your using?

Also I saw a BUNCH of those glock mags for about 15 - 25 dollars at local gunshow here.

mhmm. I bought one pmag to abuse the crap out of to see if I could break it. if I can't, I will buy more.

The usual gunshow 30 rounder glock mags are mostly 9mm for the G18c, or .45 for the Kriss.

they had all caliber mags at this one.

We see those Hihicap Glock mags out here quite often at Gunshows.

I gotta finish up my current M-4. everytime I build one someone I know buys it. What's the forend you have on the AR? I wanted a VLTOR CASV-EL but I didn't wanna spend 400 smackers on that alone.

I love my pistol, except for the whole "can't reload your empties" bit. I know just owning a .40 glock makes me a wannabe gangstar, but they are simple, durable, and eats anything I load it with.

The forend is the KAC E3 continuous. really close tolerances, integral front sight, FIVE position QD sling mounts, and the whole thing is freefloat, too!

oh gosh, those open sided magazines would never cut it at my ranch. i get enough dust in my gun already and i shudder to think what would happen if even more got in.
p.s. im ignorant about a lot of stuff but what are you talking about when you say your cant reload your empties, ive never heard of this. then again i already dont like glocks, too much plastic, no safties, etc. ill take my springfield 1911 over just about anything

they aren't really open sided. they just have clear plastic windows.

and glocks DO have safeties. in fact, they have three. Trigger, striker, and firing pin block. Besides, hordes of cops can't all be wrong.

I hate Glocks... With a passion...

its nice to have a passion for things.

Everything else is awesome tho. I just prefer my Sig.

Huh, I didn't even know they made 31-round mags for Glocks in any caliber other than 9x19mm. Learn something new every day, I guess. Do you ever use any optics on your carbine, or do you prefer iron sights only?
