01-16-20 [NOODLE LIGHT LOGO THING!]
Hey noodle what did you do today?
Well mum woke me up a few minutes before 8, but even tho she said I could sleep a bit longer I roused myself up. I got my stuff and made sure my birbs had extra food (wow, it got cold outside!), then I headed upstairs. I ate the last few pieces of pizza, then we packed the garbage into my vehicle and I put my bags in there, then we headed out and about!
Mum and dad went to Carol's to drop off smol-dog, but I went to the dump. After, I headed to Fast Eddy's to fill up my tank, then I drove to Benton to meet them at the AT&T store, since mum wanted to get her SIM card put in my sister's old phone. While there I saw a game show where they asked 2 groups of 3 people common questions and tried to see if they knew the answer. I grew bored and sleeby however, and decided to wait in my car. When they were ready they knocked on my window and mum said they were gonna go to McD's.
We pulled out, but in my tired-addled mind I initially thought I needed to head South, and not North...I didn't pull onto the highway, but I did miss the exit initially and needed to turn around to get back onto it. Yike! Thankfully I was able to gun it and pull into McD's when they were there, and since I only wanted a Sprite (I probably would have vom'd if I drank a dark soda), I was actually able to get right behind them!
We got our stuff, then pulled out and drove! It wasn't too bad of a journey, tho there were a few times where dad seemed to forget I was following, and he'd get back in the right hand lane just in front of another vehicle, with no room for me to squeeze in. I decided to call grandma en route, and when she answered she said she bet I was following dad. Hecc, psychic grandma!
Nope...Apparently dad had decided to call her as well, so I hung up and called her back 15 minutes later (10:25). We chatted about the legal stuff she's going through and how she feels Grandpa Bob's kids are being greedy, tho tbh I feel as if she's so defensive about things it's actually her coming out as mean...But I'd never say as much.
After chatting I listened to the radio for a bit while eating pretzels and drinking Sprite. The landscape was waterlogged near the rivers, then sometime around Evansville the station changed and so I turned it off and sang to keep myself sharp. We pulled off the road in this fairly large town outside Corydon so mum and dad could get some gas, then because both dad and I had to pee mum filled our tanks for us.
It was super cold, so going inside the gas station felt nice, tho I did hafta wait for a guy to get out before dad could go in, and then wait for him...But while waiting I saw a brochure advertising quilted pattern barns, which is something I've noticed around here and have always been curious about!
When we left the gas station an really sharp and awkward turn, coupled with a really oddly placed light, meant I was half-in the gas lane and half-in the lane I needed to be in, and I couldn't pull forward without bowing past and into the other lane. That light seemed to take forever, but thankfully it eventually did turn and we were able to get off the highway, then off the main road, then off the winding road and into my sister's property!
When we got there I brought in my bags and she finished up the last-minute prep-work on the house. Before she left I got the wifi password as well! After they were gone I used the bathroom (mum stunk it up before so I decided to wait, lol), then I settled onto the couch and took a nice long nodl nap. I slept from about 2ish until about 6ish...Not enough for a full night's sleep, but enough that I could function when added to the 2ish hours I got the night before.
Levi arrived around 6:30 and then packed his stuff, taking extra care to ensure his passport was with him. When he was ready to go we got their doggie Dova and headed out!
The first stop was his parent's place, where he tried to see if an Amazon package containing flipper gear was. It wasn't there (but there were a couple doggies running around!), so the next place we headed was veterinarian place to drop off Dova. Levi hoped he wouldn't be sad, and would make lots of doggie frands! From there we wanted to get dinner, but Chic-Fil-A was too crowded so we opted for Popeye's. I got a 3 piece spicy tendie meal and he got the same but with fries instead of mashed potates. I paid, and then en route we talked about drugs and novels and stories and loads! He's a really good guy!
We got to the hotel around 9ish and were told to park near the back. We did so then braced the cold and went inside. We stayed in room 527 and he was across the hall in 526. We gathered in their room for a bit, and I had a couple beers. Eventually mum and dad and I headed back to our room and I grabbed a shower then around 11ish settled into bed to get as much sleep as possible, since I knew there'd be an early wake-up call the next day!
I hope everyone has a travel-to-Cincinnati day! <333
