I really recommend giving it another try sometime. It's a movie that builds; by the time you're at the end it's amazing.

Meantime, get on to Hudsucker Proxy, lest you lost faith in the Coens completely.

A lot of reasons I didn't get into it sound kinda' lame. I couldn't stand all the cheating. Cheating movies piss me off. <=) Also, I didn't care about any of the characters, they were all idiots, Brad Pitt's was semi-likeable...

It made me feel the same way Sideways made me feel, and that wasn't good. Miguel and I were watching it together, and we agreed that it probably gets better as you watch it, and most likely even moreso with a second viewing.

Yeah, that's actually one of the things about Burn After Reading. It's an intentional idiot plot with terrible people, but still funny as can be (and very, very dark). Once you generally detach yourself from the characters, likability of the movie goes up.

Still, definitely not for everyone. Hope you enjoy the other two.

haha. i loved that movie. alot of people don't like it due to its complexity. i understood the whole movie through. its fun to watch. i would watch it again myself haha. but they killed Brad Pitt in there x.x kinda made me angry in the theatre haha

Trust me, I am not one to shun a movie because of complexity. I just hated every single character and didn't care what happened to them.

And since you just spoiled the end, I guess there's no reason to put effort into watching it.
