The Jewel Star Realm is the home to King Leonhart, a celestial of light who maintains the universe. But when his brother Lord Tenebris betrays Leonhart and takes over the Star Realm, Leonhart sends his daughter Fos to earth with the Elemental Crystals.

Fos arrives on earth and meets 16 year old Mikoto Akayama, but is followed by Lupin, Leonhart's nephew and Tenebris' son. Fos gives Mikoto the fire crystal and transforms into the Fire Warrior.

Joined by three other boys, Ryu, Haruki and Souta, Mikoto leads the animal warriors as they seek to gather the scattered elemental crystals and fight Lupin and his corrupted beast minions


Characters:
Mikoto Akayama [赤山 みこと]
A 16 year old high school student whose family runs a small restaurant. He is stubborn and hot-headed but his heart is in the right place. As the red animal warrior, his animal form is a dragon and his weapon is a fiery sword. His abilities are gaining super strength and resistance to fire.

Ryu Aoki [青キ 流]
A 15 year old popular high school student on the swimming team. His family runs a bath house where he works part time. He is carefree, outgoing and a bit sensitive. As the blue animal warrior, his animal form is a mix of a shark, whale and dolphin and his weapon is a trident. His abilities are breathing and manipulating water.

Haruki Ryokudo [緑土 晴輝]
A 17 year old high school student who is student council president. His father runs a business that relies on preserving national parks. He is distant, aloof and often cold towards others but has good intentions. As the green animal warrior, his animal form is a deer and his weapon is a staff. His abilities are great sense of agility and manipulating wood and earth.

Souta Hayate [疾風 そうた]
A 16 year high school dropout who is a popular DJ and works part time at the convenience store to care for his ill mother. He is a carefree, outspoken and obnoxious spirit, but has a hard time expressing his feelings. As the yellow animal warrior, his animal form is a mix of an eagle, falcon and hawk and his weapon is a bow and arrow. His abilities are great speed, flight and controlling the air.

Fos/Hikari Hagaromo [フォス/羽衣 光]
The 'princess' of Jewel Star Kingdom and daughter of king Leonhart. She escaped to earth after her father's death and gives Mikoto, Ryu, Haruki and Souta the elemental crystals to become elemental warriors after hers became cracked. Despite her immense knowledge of the elemental crystal and the universe, she is clueless to how earth works. While serious and responsible, she sometimes slacks of her duties of watching over the crystals' new owners. As the light pink animal warrior, her animal form is a cat and is more themed to a magical girl. Her weapon is a wand which allows her to purify corrupted elemental shards and her ability to manipulate light.

Lupin/Rin Rokuro [ルピナス/六郎 凛]
Lord Tenebris' son and Fos' cousin. He is the primary antagonist. He is cold, calculative and kept to himself. He lacks sympathy and is unwilling to talk about his feelings towards Fos. Like his cousin, he is able to turn into an animal warrior but without an elemental crystal. His animal form is a wolf and his weapon is a scythe. He controls darkness and can vanish into the shadows.




So, inspiration came to me the other night and i had to draw it right away. And when i mean by 'right away', i meant trying to get myself to draw it before i forgotten all about (like some of my other ideas).

if you can't guess by the artwork (or even read the description), it's some sort of idea for a shounen/henshin hero/magical girl-inspired series where the main characters turn into furri- anthropomorphic animal warriors and fight off other animal baddies.

I guess i watched too much PreCure.
