I made a 3d-model for the eye and eyelid mechanism. The eye that has an indent for the pupil and iris. I made the shape of the iris by subtracting a ball from the eye - the pupil was made by subtracting a disc. That gives it a slight 3d-effect (looks like the pupil is aimed at the viewer).
The eyelid and other parts were printed in PLA on my FDM 3d-printer.
I printed the eye with white UV resin on my Elegoo Mars 3d-printer, painted the pupil and iris with acrylic markers and used 2 component resin to fill the indent after painting.
The eyes can rotate left/right, the eyelid can close completely.
