From the world of "Summer Vacation Of The Living Dead", it's the perpetually-annoyed lord of the dead Thanatos and his encyclopedic companion Croak. That's supposed to be fog pouring out from the bottom of his cloak, by the way. I suck at drawing fog. And cloaks.

I recall them in the Trash-zombie trilogy (or its link to the last Bartelby story) where they wanted to send the two trash-zombie kids to hell, but their adoptive father challenged them. The two were allowed to remain topside -as long as they had a guardian to responsibly care for them. (They began breaking down after he died, and then they went to Wastopia.).
Thanatos & Croak would thus link Summer Vacation of the Living Dead to the Bartelby cycle, BUT I am NOT going to re-read this disagreeable story, just to find where.
