Solis' version and his little story >> ~
"So, wanna head back and grab that coffee before we continue to the beach?" Solis asked as they walked down the boardwalk.
It was a beautiful warm and sunny day in Florida. Clear blue skies, bright sunshine, a warm breeze swept in from the gulf and 27 C / 80 F. Solis had chosen a truly beautiful day to take Lily out for a date. He knew she loved the sea and the coast and had taken her to a boardwalk on Madera Beach. It was riddled with small shops, restaurants and fishers. Trawlers kept coming and going, and there was even a little tiki bar floating on the water. Lily shone like a bright sun herself at the question.
"Oooh, if we do so, can we drop by the pet store, and then that little souvenir shop with all the sea stuff?!" Lily asked excitedly.
"Well of course!"Solis answered. "In fact, let me buy you something. A gift."
Lily stood agape for a moment.
"No, you can't do that." she finally replied.
"Of course I can, and I want to. I want to buy you something."
They argued playfully a little back and forth as they went. Lily went into the pet store and soon came out with a brand new collar for her cat. Black with pink hearts, and cursive letters reading "Princess". After that, into the little souvenir shop they went. It was a magical place for Lily. It was riddled with artifacts from the sea. Stones, rocks, crystals, fishing accessories, sailing accessories and sea shells, sea shells, sea shells. Lily squeed and wiggled on the spot, covering her snout with her paws. She was stupidly fond of sea shells and had collected them ever since she was a little girl. The bigger and more colourful they were, the better. Solis couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction.
"Well, take your pick. You can choose what ever you want, and I'll get it for you."
Solis stood back a little and let her explore. Lily eagerly nosed around all the collections and soon found 2 small chests inlayed and decorated with sea shells. She squeed and inspected them closely. Solis came up behind her, grinning at how happy she was.
"Those are yours, anything else..?" He told her while stroking over her back.
Lily spun around in the store and in the end found herself with the two chests, a small collection of sea shells and a sea shell necklace and now anxiously looked between them, having a hard time to make up her mind.
"Dont worry." Solis said and smiled at her. "You paid for dinner. Let me pay for this. You don't have to put anything back."
Lily looked up at him, her eyes going wide. Never before in her life had a man ever told her that.
"Do you... do you really mean that? No, you don't have to. It's too much."
Solis smiled at her, came up to her and kissed her on the lips.
"I don't have to, but I want to."
He took the items out of her stunned paws and placed them on the counter.
A few minutes later they walked down the boardwalk towards the beach, holding hands with each other and a cup of iced coffee in the free hand. The new sea shell necklace hung around her neck and Lily was so happy and excited she literally squeaked and bounced around Solis in what almost was a little dance.
"Ooh ooh so when we go to the beach, will there be waves and sea shells we can pick? And snuggle? We can snuggle?"
Lily was almost hyper, and Solis just smiled at her. He had almost never seen her this happy and it made his heart swell.
"Yes sweetie, as much as you want~" He answered her.
Lily giggled and kissed him before bouncing around him. She then slowed down a little and blushed hard.
"Solis... this might actually be one of the best days of my life..." Lily stuttered shyly.
"You know what? For me as well." Solis smiled brightly at her and put his arm around her back as they walked out onto the beach together. Their day together had just started, after all.
So, this picture was made to commemorate a very special day between me (Lily) and Draco Solis that I got Solis as a gift for his hatchday. It was during my trip to Florida to visit him that we had this truly wonderful date and day together. He made me so very happy that day, and I did my very best to return that feeling. We snuggled all evening, and some more~ It really was an unforgetable day, and probably one of the best days in my entire life.
Solis, I love you endlessly, forever and always yours~
