Tomonori sure fell into one hell of a deep depression after seeing his betrothed Harumi with another guy, didn't he.
He now usually spent his time at his house turned beya (sumo stable), either just binging on chanko while crying his eyes out, playing sad songs on the piano, or even training with his father Kajinosuke Marui (丸井 梶之助), which usually ended in Tomonori breaking into tears.
All this time, his father would try to comfort his son, just like any parent does, believing in that the cat Harumi was with was just a close relative of hers.
