2/2/20: Despondent me after 49ers lose SB LIV...
It's not a happy Groundhog Day-I felt grounded when watching the Super Bowl- it was the San Francisco 49ers ( https://www.49ers.com ) facing against the Kansas City Chiefs ( https://www.chiefs.com ), and though the score was 31-20, the score was not emblematic of how close the game was. It was only 7 minutes left in the game- my team was going to have control, and then what seems to be miracle plays for the Chiefs got them to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
As it was a dare that if the Niners win, I would be in fursuit and celebrate with lots of fans at Levi's Stadium- it was almost empty, and I would have shown my sadness there, but I chose not to, and went to SF to do what Tealeaf Raccoon did on Twitter: https://twitter.com/tealeafraccoon/.....65595795361793 (He has no FA account.) Here, with some nod to the 2018 World Cup mascot, Zabivaka: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGwJc3mSNcI , I'm walking as Cory with melancholy at Ocean Beach. I did stay for a few minutes in sadness despite it was cold (The fursuit did warm me up!), and took 3 pictures. The others are on my Twitter.
Anyway, it was a good ride, and for the 2nd time, the Niners lost in an SB. At least they did give the whole SF Bay Area something to feel good about after losing the Raiders to Las Vegas. But now we can say that despite the Raiders gone and rival KC is not a regular anymore, we can still have some grudge towards them in the regular season. Oh well, there's always next year...
