The morning after the hectic night the Anthros arrived at their motel room, Sulley's eyes fluttered open as he slowly woke up to find his arms were around a large pillow as his still sleeping younger brother was nuzzled against his back. Sulley smiled and reached behind him to gently ruffle Ben's hair before he sat up, being careful not to disturb the sullicoot, and stretched his large arms with a quiet yawn. Sulley looked around his room, everything was as it was last night, including the damages from Kat's alleged battle with Drakkon, though before going to sleep Sulley and Kat threw away the broken TV and picked up the shards of the screen. Thinking back to the mess in the room caused Sulley to look towards Kat's bed, though the monster noticed that the bed the hybrid supposedly slept in was empty, and with the bathroom door wide open Sulley could see that Kat wasn't in there either. Sulley quickly but carefully as not to disturb his sleeping brother, got out of bed and rushed towards the door, opening it as quietly as he could manage.
Sulley opened the room door in a panic, though much to his surprise, Kat wasn't too far from the door, the hybrid stood leaned over the balcony and was looking in the distance until Sulley opened the door, then the hybrid's attention shifted to the monster. The two Anthros stared at each other in a moment of silence before Sulley smiled and said-
"You're up early" as he closed the door behind him and joined Kat near the balcony,
"I didn't sleep last night, though I did recharge my energy," Kat explained, referring to using the Dark Focus technique last night,
"Well that's not good.. though I suppose you didn't want to have another nightmare," Sulley commented,
"No, it's not like that… it wasn't a nightmare, I know it wasn't, Drakkon is real, he's out there on this island with us, I just know it," Kat explained in a panicked state as he turned his attention back to looking over the balcony. Sulley sighed and patted Kat on the shoulder,
"We've been over this Kat, there was no Drakkon guy, you're just imagining things because you're overworked," Sulley explained,
"I'm NOT crazy…" Kat replied in a quiet though clearly angry tone as a dark aura surrounded him,
"That's not what I said!" Sulley replied defensively, before he sighed,
"Look, Kat.. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that maybe, just maybe, this Drakkon guy exists, why would he want to kill you?" Sulley asked,
"Because he's after this thing called a power coin, and he insists that I have it, though I've never even heard of something called a power coin before," Kat explained as the dark aura around him dissipated,
"But when he realizes that you indeed don't have a power coin, he'll stop going after you," Sulley explained,
"Yeah! When he kills me! It's easy for you to not care about this because he's not after you!" Kat replied angrily as he shook off Sulley's hand and looked away from the monster,
"It's not like that Kat! Of course I care about you, I care about all my teammates, it's just that from my perspective, you don't seem under attack, you seem overworked and stressed," Sulley explained.
Kat continued looking away in silence before Sulley spoke up again,
"Do you want to change the subject?" Sulley asked,
"Sure," Kat replied with a shrug, realizing he was getting nowhere with convincing Sulley that Drakkon was real,
"So why are you out here?" Sulley asked,
"I needed some fresh air, and plus it's a nice view up here," Kat explained as he went back to looking over the balcony,
"You can't see much more than the parking lot though," Sulley commented,
"It's still nice though, it's crazy to think we're so far from home… things seem kind of peaceful in that quiet lot during the morning time, no bullets to dodge, no people to fight… it's just a nice quiet Hawaiian morning, and in a few hours, other people in this motel are probably going to wake up and go about their regular lives, going to their jobs, maybe meeting up with friends, maybe have some fun…" Kat explained with a somewhat happy and longing tone,
"You think all that just from looking at a parking lot?" Sulley asked, Kat responded with a nod. Sulley smiled,
"Well that's nice, I think that means you're starting to enjoy yourself on the trip," Sulley explained
“Maybe…” Kat replied,
“See? And I’m sure you’ll make some unforgettable memories on this island,” Sulley replied with a smile,
“I hope so… also has anyone ever told you that you snore incredibly loudly?” Kat asked, thinking back to the night he spent in the room. Sulley chuckled and playfully nudged Kat,
“I have been told that actually, though everyone I’ve ever shared a room with has gotten used to it,” Sulley explained,
“Including your friend Mike?” Kat asked,
“You know about Mike? I don’t think I’ve ever told you about him,” Sulley commented,
“Ben did, on the way to the motel, though I guess you were too busy making sure we were going in the right direction,
“Ah I see, but yeah, I think he did.. Or at least I hope he did, else I’d make a pretty bad roomate,” said Sulley with a chuckle. Kat’s stomach growled, which caused the hybrid to blush,
“Hey Sull? I don’t suppose this all expenses paid trip also includes breakfast, does it?” Kat asked,
“Of course it does silly, what sort of vacation would it be if we just allowed you to go hungry?... but hey? Are you feeling any better?” Sulley asked,
“Yeah I think so, when Ben wakes up do you think we could go to a diner?” Kat requested,
“Sure, a hawaiian diner sounds nice,” Sulley replied,
“How much longer does Ben usually sleep for though?” Kat asked,
“Quite some time, he usually requires an alarm clock or someone to manually wake him,” Sulley replied with a chuckle,
“Ah…” Kat replied. Kat then took a moment to think about Elster’s absence, which caused him to inquire-
“Hey Sulley? Before we go back inside can I ask you for advice?”
“Sure, what’s up?” Sulley asked,
“If a friend refuses to talk to you.. how do you fix that?” Kat asked,
“Hm.. well, if a friend refuses to talk to you, it’s usually because they’re upset with you about something or simply busy, so the best thing to do is to give them some space, and wait for them to come to you, and when they do, make an effort to do better,” Sulley explained,
“I guess that makes sense… but why would Elster be upset with me? What did I do?” Kat asked himself mentally before he went back into the motel room,
“Thanks Sull,” said Kat,
“No problem,” Sulley replied, following Kat back inside the room.
Upon re-entering the room, Kat laid down on his bed, and upon seeing his bell collar on the nightstand, put it back on. Kat then turned to face Sulley,
“Hey Sulley? Can I use your communicator for a sec? I’d just like to know how Panthro is doing,” Kat explained,
“Yeah sure, while you’re at it, tell Doggie I said “hi”, y’know.. If you can get a hold of him,” Sulley requested as he handed Kat his communicator before the monster went back over to Ben and put a large arm around him. Kat then sent messages to both Panthro and Doggie, though even after several minutes of waiting, there was no response. Kat sighed and curled up with his pillow, Sulley carefully left Ben alone and walked over to Kat, joining him on his bed by sitting next to the lying down hybrid,
“Exhausted?” Sulley asked,
“No one’s answering, I think the guys are busy with missions…” Kat explained with a sigh,
“Eh, they’ll eventually reply, just try and keep your mind off missions and think about vacationing instead,” Sulley instructed,
“It’s hard though… I can’t help but think about how much more fun I’d have if Panth was here…” Kat explained as he put a hand on his collar with a look of yearning and sadness. Sulley brought Kat in for a hug with one of his arms,
“Well who knows? Maybe you’ll get to see him during the vacation thanks to some miracle,” Sulley offered,
“That’d be nice…” Kat commented as he nuzzled against Sulley’s shoulder. Sulley smiled, and a purr managed to escape him, causing the monster to blush,
“Heh, now you can see why Boo calls me “Kitty”” Sulley explained,
“Who is Boo?” Kat asked,
“She’s a little girl who I met some time ago, I accidentally let her into the monster world, and things were never the same afterwards, she was the reason I discovered laugh power… the reason I became an anthro… she means a lot to me,” Sulley explained happily as he pet Kat’s head,
“Oh… so she was the little girl you were talking about during the factory tour… gosh do you remember that tour? There was Randall, and brainwashed monsters, and everything was hectic.. But cool” Kat commented,
“Yeah, that was a crazy mission,” Sulley replied with a smile. A short silence came up between Kat and Sulley as Sulley made himself comfortable by laying down next to the hybrid,
“Hey Sull? I thought of a nice quiet way we can pass the time until your bro wakes up,” Kat explained,
“Oh? What did you have in mind?” Sulley asked, Kat then used Sulley’s communicator, and opened a Chess game that was installed on it by default,
“Why don’t we play a few games of chess?” Kat offered,
“Oh… that’d be fun.. If I knew how to play…” Sulley commented with an ashamed tone,
“You… don’t know how to play chess?” Kat asked,
“Nah, I never really had an interest in it, the game was installed on my communicator by default,” Sulley explained,
“Ah, well don’t worry, I’ll teach you how to play,” Kat offered with a smile as he patted Sulley’s shoulder,
“Thanks Kat… so what’s the first thing you can tell me?” Sulley asked eagerly,
“Well first let’s go over the pieces,” Kat explained.
After several games, Kat and Sulley were in the middle of a particularly challenging one,
“There you go, you’re making much better moves than when we first started,” Kat commented proudly,
“Thanks, you’re a good teacher,” Sulley replied with a warm smile.
"Flattery will get you everywhere with me big guy," Kat replied jokingly as he nuzzled against Sulley's shoulder, causing the monster to chuckle. The two Anthros suddenly heard Ben groan and begin to wake up, which caused Sulley to close the Chess game, sit up on the bed, and turn his attention to Ben's bed, Kat followed the monster's lead. Ben seemed groggy and his hair was a mess,
“Morning sleepyhead,” Sulley greeted happily,
“Hey Ben, are you sure you’re part bandicoot and not part porcupine?” Kat asked jokingly,
“Morning guys, and yes Kat, I’m sure. Trust me, Crash also gets bedhead like this,” Ben replied as he wiped his eyes,
“So now that you’re up, can you get ready so we can hit up a diner? I’m starving,” Kat explained,
“You up for some breakfast at a diner bro?” Sulley asked,
“Yeah, just give me a minute to- Waagh!” said Ben as he tried getting out of bed but ended up losing his balance and falling off it,
“Are you ok?” Sulley asked in concern,
“I’m fine, just give me a minute to wake up and get ready,” Ben requested as he got back on his feet and made his way to the bathroom. Ben then took a few minutes in the bathroom to put on some clothes more suitable for being outside, fix his hair, and put on some cologne. After Ben was ready he joined the others back in the main room with the beds,
“Alright, I’m ready now,” said Ben,
“Great, let’s go then,” said Sulley, before the three of them made their way to a local diner.
After a hearty breakfast at the diner, Kat, Sulley and Ben sat at one of the outside tables to take a minute and figure out what they wanted to do next,
“Thanks for the food Sulley,” said Kat graciously,
“Yeah thanks bro,” Ben added,
“You’re welcome guys, so what do you two want to do?” Sulley asked,
“I want to visit my friend Stitch since I didn’t get a chance to do that yesterday,” Ben explained as he got up and started walking away from the group,
“Alrighty then, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,” said Sulley with a smile. After Ben had gotten a good distance away, Sulley turned his attention back to Kat,
“What about you Kat?” Sulley inquired, the hybrid took a moment to ponder,
“Well… I saw a bookstore on the way over here that I’d like to check out,” Kat explained,
“Great, and I wanted to look at some of the souvenirs in that shop next to the bookstore,” Sulley explained,
“Perfect, so we’ll both be in the same area,” Kat commented,
“Yep, which is great since you don’t have a communicator, so be sure to stay in the bookstore while we’re over there,” Sulley instructed,
“Ok then,” Kat replied before the two anthros made their way to the shopping district.
The shopping district was bustling with activities, hundreds of tourists roam the street, and along the way Kat glanced into a few establishments to see some of the aliens Ben had mentioned yesterday. Sulley made his way into the souvenir shop while Kat made his way into the bookstore. The bookstore Kat entered was quite large and impressive, all the books were neatly organized into categories and series, and the air conditioning felt nice to the hybrid after walking around in the hawaiian heat. Kat spent a few hours in the bookstore checking out the expansive variety of books they had in stock. Eventually Kat saw Sulley approach him,
“Geez, you’re still looking around in here?” Sulley asked,
“There are a lot of books that catch my interest, though I only have enough money for one or two of them,” Kat explained,
“I see, well it’s just about lunch time, do you think you’ll be able to make a decision soon? It’d be unfortunate if you spent your entire vacation in a bookstore,” Sulley commented,
“I wouldn’t mind, I like this place, it’s quiet,” Kat explained,
“Well I suppose how you choose to spend your vacation is up to you… though I noticed a shaved ice stand just outside worked by two of Stitch’s cousins, if you want I could get you a cone so you can enjoy something nice and cold while you do some reading,” Sulley offered,
“I’m ok, but thanks for the offer Sull,” Kat replied. Sulley shrugged and made his way out the bookstore once again,
“Suit yourself then, I should probably get some for Ben though, just don’t stay in here for too long, else someone might think you work here,” said Sulley with a chuckle before he exited the bookstore. Kat turned his attention back to the books on the shelves, as he scanned through the books, one that caught his eye read- “The Man with two souls” on the spine. Kat retrieved the book from the shelf and got a good look at the cover, which depicted the silhouette of a man with two shining balls of cyan light shining within his body, the balls of light supposedly being the man’s aforementioned souls. Looking at the cover caused a small smile to appear on Kat’s face,
“Heh… two souls, just like me, right Elster?” Kat asked mentally, though he got no response, which caused the hybrid to sadden,
“Y’know… ignoring me isn’t very cool, I’m trying to have a good time, but your absence just makes me anxious…” Kat explained mentally with his head hung. After another lack of a mental response, Kat sighed in annoyance before returning his attention back to the book in his hands,
“You know what?... I’m going to buy this, I think it’ll be a nice read,” Kat thought with a smile. Though just when Kat turned to the cashier, and was about to approach her to pay for his book, Kat felt slight breathing on the back of his neck, and he sensed a very familiar presence near him. Kat trembled since he could feel that the person standing right behind him was Drakkon, which was confirmed when Kat heard the ranger speak to him with his intimidating voice,
“Give me your power coin…” Drakkon demanded, causing Kat to fearfully drop his book. Kat then turned around, though he didn’t see anyone behind him, even after looking around. The hybrid took deep breaths to calm himself then picked up the book he dropped and put it back where he found it before he left the store, the mood to buy the book was ruined for Kat.
Immediately after exiting the bookstore, Kat began aimlessly power walking around the shopping district, occasionally checking behind him to make sure no one was following him. In Kat’s panicked state, the hybrid decided to head towards the beach since there would be plenty of witnesses should someone try and attack him, and he figured doing some swimming would calm him down. Though when Kat got down to the beach, he saw that it was barren, no sign of people swimming in the water or playing at the shore,
“What’s going on here? Why is the beach so vacant today?” Kat asked himself mentally as he sat down near the shore,
“Maybe nobody is in the mood to swim right now… come to think of it, I didn’t even bring swim trunks or anything.. I just came here on a whim…” Kat thought to himself with a sigh as he looked towards the horizon. Kat admired the beautiful water that reflected the clear sky during the high noon, the smell of salt was in the air, and the hybrid listened to the sounds of the waves and the distant chirping of seagulls. Kat enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere of the shore for a few minutes before he heard Drakkon’s voice behind him, and his heart skipped a beat,
“Give me your power coin…” Drakkon demanded angrily with his usual intimidating tone. Kat quickly got to his feet and looked behind him, there Drakkon stood, though this time he didn’t have his flute dagger, but rather a strange white and gold shortsword with a small tiger head adorning the end of the handle. Upon seeing Drakkon, Kat clenched his fists and growled,
“I keep telling you! I don’t have a power coin! Just leave me alone, you’re ruining my vacation!!” said Kat angrily,
“Your lies won’t save you, I will have your power coin soon…” Drakkon stated as he readied his shortsword. Kat summoned a dark vortex and retrieved a katana with one hand, and a fully loaded six-shooter with his other,
“If you aren’t going to listen to me, then I guess I’ll just have to beat some sense into you!” said Kat threateningly as he readied his weapons.
Drakkon then quickly lunged at Kat with his tiger short sword, and the hybrid responded by dodging with a sidestep and firing his gun at Drakkon. The ranger impressively deflected the initial bullet with his sword, as well as the other five that Kat fired at Drakkon immediately after in quick succession. Kat’s six-shooter broke after being used, so Kat tossed it aside and proceeded to have a sword fight with Drakkon using his katana. The two fighters exchanged swift swings with their respective weapons as sparks flew from deflected hits. A solid minute passed as Kat and Drakkon kept up their slashes and looked for an opening to strike before Kat decided to create speed induced after images and send them after Drakkon to keep him distracted. As Drakkon took out Kat’s after images one by one, the hybrid summoned a dark vortex and reached into it to pull out a sniper rifle. Kat’s after images dissipated as he jumped back to put some distance between himself and Drakkon, then the hybrid quickly aimed himself with the scope, and fired three times before the rifle broke. The first shot hit Drakkon dead on, causing sparks to fly from his suit, though the second shot was deflected, and the third shot was dodged.
Meanwhile, quite a distance away from where Kat and Drakkon were fighting, an overweight bald man with sunglasses, blue shorts, sandals, and a sunburn that revealed that he had a sweatshirt on during a previous occasion he was in the sun, was about to enjoy some mint chocolate chip ice cream as he lounged around in a chair, though his plans were cancelled when Kat’s stray sniper bullet made its way swiftly through the man’s ice cream, causing it to explode, and leaving the man with an empty cone, and small bits of his ice cream all over him. The man looked at his cone with a look of defeat and sighed before he laid back in his chair and tried to enjoy the rest of his day.
Drakkon charged at Kat with his shortsword ready as Kat picked his katana back up. When Drakkon came close enough to Kat, the ranger and the hybrid went back to exchanging swift slashes for a bit before Kat kicked Drakkon back and opened a dark vortex in which dozens of kunai flew from and towards the ranger,
“Kunai storm!” Kat declared as the kunai rained down upon Drakkon, who proceeded to move at a lightning fast speed to deflect the many sharp weapons flying at him. While Drakkon was busy deflecting the kunai, Kat pulled a submachine gun from his vortex and began furiously firing at Drakkon with it. Though much to Kat’s surprise, Drakkon lunged away from both the gun fire and the kunai just as the latter were finishing their barrage, and began running on the water. Kat shook off his surprise, and kept trying to shoot Drakkon, but the ranger was too fast and dodged all of Kat’s bullets, leaving the bullets to instead hit the water, and causing it to spike up in certain areas. Right when Kat ran out of bullets, Drakkon lunged at him with his sword ready, causing the hybrid to clench his eyes in a moment of tension. Kat trembled as he waited for Drakkon’s blade to pierce him, though after nearly a half minute of waiting, Kat opened his eyes and looked around to see that Drakkon was nowhere to be found. The hybrid was left alone on the shore with nothing but the sounds of the waves to combat the awkward silence that followed his abruptly ended battle. Just as Kat scratched the back of his head, he heard Sulley call out to him,
“Kat!!” said the monster with a mix of surprise and concern. Kat turned to see Sulley, who was exhausted and had wide eyes that just stared at Kat at first, before Sulley slowly approached Kat,
“I thought I told you not to wonder off since you don’t have a communicator! And what’s the deal with firing a bunch of weapons at the beach? Do you want to get arrested?” Sulley asked with a mix of anger and concern. Kat looked at the area that he and Drakkon had just battled at to see that several of Kat’s weapons littered the ground, and Kat still held a spent submachine gun in his hand, further adding to his suspicious appearance. Kat quickly dropped his gun and had a nervous look on his face,
“I-It’s not like that! I was-” Kat tried explaining before Sulley cut him off,
“Attacked? And let me guess, by Drakkon…” said Sulley as he rubbed his temples in frustration,
“Yes! You have to believe me Sulley, he was about to kill me!” said Kat in a panicked state. After a long pause Sulley sighed and turned his back to Kat,
“Let’s continue this conversation in the motel room…” Sulley instructed as he began walking away, expecting Kat to follow. The hybrid sighed and proceeded to follow the monster in silence on the lengthy walk back to their motel.
Back at the motel room Kat proceeded to sit on his bed to ready himself for the conversation that was sure to take place between him and Sulley as the monster let out a deep sigh and rubbed his temples once again,
“What were you thinking? What if someone got hurt because of what you did at the beach?” Sulley asked in frustration,
“The beach was empty… well, mostly empty…” Kat replied, referring to him and Drakkon,
“Even so, what if someone stumbled upon the beach while you were firing your gun and you ended up killing innocent people? Wh-What if Ben happened to stumble upon the beach and you ended up killing him?!” Sulley asked with a mix of anger and concern with the issue becoming personal to the monster,
“Oh so you’re concerned if Ben is in danger but not me right?” Kat asked with a snappy tone,
“Kat, that’s not true and you know it, of course I care about my family, but I care about the members of my team as well. Ever since we’ve arrived on this island, you’ve started to act troubling, and I’m starting to worry that you’re going to end up hurting or even killing someone, are you sure you’re not just being paranoid?” Sulley asked,
“Of course I’m sure! I’ve told you multiple times that I’m being attacked, what reason would I have to lie about something like that?” Kat asked defensively,
“Because you’re overworked! That’s the whole reason we came here! And yet you keep acting out! Claiming that some guy from your nightmare is trying to kill you, one of the most ridiculous things I’ve heard…” Sulley commented angrily. Sulley then sighed as Kat looked at his feet and clenched his fists before the monster spoke up again as he reached a hand to Kat’s shoulder,
“Look.. Kat, try to realize that you’re being para-” Sulley tried to say, though he was cut off by Kat swatting his hand away and looking at him with fury in his eyes as dark aura flowed around him,
“I’m not being paranoid!! I know what I saw… I’m legitimately being attack but you just shrug it off because you don’t want my issues to bother you while you’re trying to take it easy! That’s all you care about!! Sorry that me being in danger is such an inconvenience to your vacation time!” said Kat angrily. Sulley rubbed the hand that was slapped away by Kat,
“Kat! Just look at how you’re acting! Your mental state has been so unstable since we came to this island! You’re overworked and stressed! It’s as clear as day!” Sulley replied angrily,
“So the truth finally comes out! You think I’m just some crazy hybrid looking for attention!” Kat replied angrily. Sulley then moved closer to Kat and held onto his shoulders as he managed to ignore the pain that came with touching Kat’s dark aura,
“GET AHOLD OF YOURSELF KAT!! THINK OF HOW CRAZY YOU’RE BEING!!” Sulley replied as he shouted. Kat clenched his fists and grit his teeth as the dark aura around him spiked violently, causing Sulley to let go of Kat and step back,
“I’M NOT CRAZY!!!” Kat yelled furiously as he grabbed ahold of his head in frustration,
“Wh-What the hell?” Sulley asked himself as he witnessed Kat’s unstable state,
“I’M NOT CRAZY! I’M NOT CRAZY! I’M NOT CRAZY! I’M NOT CRAZY! I’M NOT CRAZY!!!!!!” Kat yelled furiously as all the stress and anxiety from the encounters with Drakkon and Elster’s sudden absence came out at once. Kat then focused his attention on a very concerned Sulley,
“I’LL PROVE IT! I’M GOING TO FIND DRAKKON AND DEFEAT HIM ALL BY MYSELF! I DON’T NEED YOU! I DON’T NEED ANYONE!!!” said Kat furiously,
“What?! No! Kat, just calm down!” Sulley plead,
“It’s too late! I’ve already made up my mind! I’m going to beat him or die trying! Not that you care!!”said Kat angrily as he ran towards the motel door. Kat violently opened the motel door, and ran for the stairs, though on his way to the stairs he nearly ran into a very confused Ben, who quickly moved out of the hybrid’s way,
“Kat? Kat, what’s wrong?” Ben asked in concern, though the hybrid ignored him and continued making his way down the stairs as quickly as he could before he ran from the motel as fast as he could in his base form,
“Kat! KAT!! Where are you going?!” Ben called out in concern, but the hybrid was already gone.
Kat ran around Hawaii for hours as he searched for Drakkon and kept telling himself he wasn’t crazy, the sun was quickly setting as Kat eventually found himself running through some woods. The hybrid leaned against a tree as he tried to catch his breath with a mix of coughing and panting as sweat ran down his forehead from all the emotional running. Kat trembled as he did his best to steady his breathing,
“I-I’m not crazy… I’m not crazy… I’m not crazy…” Kat kept telling himself desperately since his search for Drakkon wasn’t turning up any results,
“Elster.. You believe me right?” Kat asked mentally. Kat then held onto his head and slumped against the tree when he took a moment to reflect on how he was acting,
“Oh my gosh… I’m asking a voice in my head for validation…” Kat admitted to himself mentally. Kat then clenched his fist and looked at the ground in frustration, being on the verge of tears,
“Sulley was right… I am crazy… there is no Drakkon…” said Kat aloud with a defeated tone,
“Don’t be so hard on yourself, I believe you,” said a familiar voice behind Kat. The hybrid turned to see the man he encountered at the airport,
“You… You’re that guy who threatened to kill me at the airport…” Kat commented,
“That’s right,” the man replied,
“Did I imagine you too?” Kat asked as he got to his feet,
“No, and you didn’t imagine Drakkon either, I assure you he’s quite real,” the man explained,
“Drakkon? How do you know about Drakkon? Who are you?” Kat asked,
“I used to go by Tommy Oliver…” the man explained,
“Tommy Oliver?... the green and white rangers!” Kat thought to himself as Tommy got out a strange device that fit in his palm and held a large golden coin,
“It’s morphin time! Black Dragon!” Tommy declared before a flash of black light enveloped him and quickly dissipated to reveal Drakkon, who held both the flute dagger and the short sword,
“Drakkon!” Kat exclaimed angrily,
“That’s right,” Drakkon replied casually,
“But… I was just imagining you…” Kat commented,
“Oh no, I assure you I’m very real,” Drakkon replied,
“But… the motel.. And the beach.. And the airport, you just vanished into thin air!” Kat commented,
“I didn’t vanish, a friend of mine teleported me away from you when I was about to take care of you, though I can tell you that you won’t be so lucky this time.. This time, I’ll commit to killing you…” Drakkon explained with an intimidating tone as Kat readied himself by retrieving two katanas from his dark vortex.
