So years and years ago, I'd wanted to make a star wars OC, had brainstormed many different possibilities, and I had settled on a few consistent details, so here he is. I've finally gotten around to drawing the bugger. :D
Meet Orden. A reptilian species not unlike the trandotians, though unlike the trandotians, they have tails, and a particular fondness for tree top lifestyles, as their home planet's forests are tangles of branches and trunks that ark and curve in a network that results in very elaborate webs of tree branches to navigate through. As such, their legs are particularly strong, enabling them to leap great heights with relative ease.
Orden's mother was a Jedi during the height of the Order before it's fall, and when Order 66 was executed, his mother was one of few that escaped, taking refuge posing as a civilian to escape the eyes of the Empire. She eventually had a child, despite the jedi order forbidding it, the order was gone, and she couldn't bring herself to follow the order's code to the letter when she settled with another of her species, who had been working as a scrap salvager. 5 years after the rise of the empire, Orden was born. And he was discovered to be force sensitive like his mother, so in secret, she taught him a few of the basics that she knew that he would need. when he was 8 years old, the Imperial Inquisition arrived. Purge Troopers scoured the streets that Orden's family lived, gathering civilians as they weren't sure who was the suspected jedi when an anonymous tip had been sent to the empire.
Rather than bringing Orden to the round up, She sent Orden away with an automated shipment that was leaving the planet just as the inquisition arrived. as they didn't detect his life signs due to Orden's mother putting him under a coma like trance with the force. slowing his body's functions until he would have been considered dead. her final good bye leaving him with the broken halves of the kyber crystal from her own lightsaber, bound together by Hayshian Smelt braided wire to form a pendant. broken during her own escape from order 66, and a holocron, the same one that she kept with her that had the message to stay away from the jedi temple. along with it, she had infused the holocron with instructions and as much of her own jedi knowledge into the cube, so that it could teach him everything he needed to learn to survive. She was never heard from again after the Inquisitors rounded her up with the other citizens, leaving Orden to wake up mid transit with the salvage in the autonimously flying freighter. After realizing he can't go back, he hijacked the automated navigator and took the ship for himself. living life as a salvage dealer ever since.

they were common enough in the salvage he went through. and since all imperial and clone war blasters were reclaimed where ever possible, he found that the E-5s were common enough in the wrecks, and were more than capable of being suitable blasters that he keeps one for himself and plenty of spares for parts and such. as well as their power cells and tibana gas.
He is generally aware of the fact that his mom was a Jedi. He has the broken halves of his mom's kyber crystal made into a pendant. (which he'll eventually use the two halves to form a double bladed lightsaber that can split into two. a feature that Fallen Order used after I had already made Orden. XD)
But yeah. He also has a Holocron that did help teach him a few basics of the force, and on his own, learned to use the force to help lift heavy scrap and equipment so he doesn't have to utilize heavy lift cranes and such. though of course, while being careful to not get caught doing that.

I see. All things considered, his conflict with the empire may be inevitable. It's likely that either Vader himself or one of his inquisitors will eventually
sense his use of the force, and track him down.
On a related note, it's always nice to see more non-human star wars OCs, especially the reptilian ones. My own star wars OC, who i've named Yavik
is also reptilian, in a way, but his features (as well as the features of his species) are a bit more draconic in appearance.

There could very well have been some kind of run in with inquisitors. at the very least, a purge trooper or two. but unlike say, Cal Kestus, Orden tends to stick with being alone to himself. and with the advantage of having a ship to go around with, he actually has a much better chance of staying hidden. often keeping with outer rim territories. and if he has to go to more populated areas, places like Nar Shaddaa tends to be good places. as much as they are full of skumy gangs and such, they tend to be well left alone by the empire.
