Entry for  summercat 's contest. The theme is romance, and I could think of nothing more romantic than myself and the lion I'm completely crazy about as I have been for three years now.

The idea is making a relationship work even in the face of struggle. I'm a struggling artisan with a sometimes crippling psychological condition, he's just starting a career fresh out of college, and we live hours away from each other. We have quirks that just really annoy each other from not being able to get used to them. There's money problems or some other crisis every time one of us turns around.

But just to be with him is worth it, and he feels the same way. Once we're together, all the B.S. life can throw at us is just an inconvenience.
