I'm taking a digital drawing class this semester, and what started as a fun character design assignment turned into a great excuse to draw this lovely woman.
I'd been brooding over her final design for some time now, being that she's one of the most important characters I own, and finally I think I've settled on a design I'm satisfied with. So without further ado, I'd like to proudly introduce: Anba.
--- Basic Character Profile ---
Name: Anba
Age: ???
DOB: 8/4/????
Gender: Female
Species: Undead Fox/Kitsune Spirit
Bio: Anba was once a third sibling in Soul and Spirit's troop, but unlike her fellow siblings she never took kindly to the quickly growing human civilizations around their homelands. She hated mankind and the damage they caused to both animals, nature, and even themselves. She saw humans as imbeciles that would one day only seek to destroy the entire world. The final straw was pulled when Spirit was attacked by a hunter and left severely injured, and Anba became furious. She set out on a blind and ravenous manhunt, slaughtering anyone who dared to stray too far into the wild and untamed, be it a man, woman, or child, nobody was safe from her wrath.
One day a pack of hunters had been hired on to clear the wood of her presence, and she was cornered within an old cabin deep in the woods. She was locked inside the cabin's walls and burned alive, ensuring that she would never cause any further harm to anyone ever again. Soul and Spirit left the woods to integrate into human society for their own safety soon after.
But Anba's rage was too strong, her power unyielding, and she was reanimated as a vengeful spirit of the woods. She continued on her bloody rampage until finally one day she was confronted by a monk, who sealed her away within a magical orb.
Several hundred years later her orb was passed between the hands of monks and shopkeeps of the supernatural, until one day she ended up in the hands of a young child named Mizuna. By chance her orb was accidentally dropped and shattered, and her spirit, cursed to no longer take its own form, was absorbed into the body of Mizuna.
It has been many years since that day, and although her hatred of man and the damage they cause has yet to temper, she has since cooled her unbridled rage. Now she and Mizuna coexist within their shared body, her energy flowing through them and gifting Mizuna a sort of immortality. She is unhappy that she may never walk as herself again, but she hopes to one day at least see her siblings again, and know that they have survived the unforgiving hands of man's world.
