My D&D group is taking a very brief break from our main campaign to run a meatgrinder one-shot next week (it was going to be this week but our DM got sick; get better, Jim! <3). For it, we had to create three level 3 characters and they're all basically expected to die.
Naturally, I got ridiculously attached instead.
This is Littlehands, a runty adolescent kobold who is usually part of a group of similarly-aged kobold youngsters that plays pranks on people by dressing up and pretending to be a dragonborn. You know, the whole "kids in a trench coat" thing, except ~fantasy~ lmao :P At some point and for some reason he got separated from the rest of his group. He's also an Old Ones warlock, meaning he can telepathically speak to other language-speaking folks within 30 feet (regardless of whether they speak his languages or not). I like to think he's like that stereotypical thirteen-year-old on Xbox Live. You know, braggadocious, anything that goes wrong is obviously not his fault and here's why, lots of "suck my hemes" or "is your clutchmate hot" or "that's not what your mom said last night" nonsense.
I have absolutely zero doubt that I will roleplay none of this when the time comes, given how low RP my group tends to be in general and the nature of this one-shot in particular, but that's fine lol
Anyway his "patron" is Zoamelgustar from Slayers NEXT because why not, I know nothing about the lore in the 5e universe we're in and just because I got myself ridiculously attached to this throw-away character doesn't mean I have to take it all seriously at the same time. That's also where the clasp for his ridiculously oversized cloak and the belt buckle on his (currently girded because I was proud of my weird digitigrade legs on the first fullbody sketch I made and didn't want to cover them up lol) oversized skirt/kilt/whatever came from. Maybe he found a dead adventurer somewhere and stole their (her?) fancy bits, including a weird talisman to a deity whose horns were like, totally just like his, bro.
The two pieces of official kobold artwork I was able to find both had these weird dog noses glued onto the tips of alligator/crocodile snouts. It's a very strange look, but I guess that's how we roll now. They also both had smooth tails but you know what, I like the weird ridge thing so I'mma go with it, fight me.
