I had to do this one twice because the original file got corrupted.
Alright I spent a bit more time on this one, and I really quite like how it turned out. With a bit more practice and nice I know the program better I'd like to eventually revisit this and see what improvements I can make.
About half way through I decided to make him a grizzled old Saurian soldier who's seen his fare share of battle, hence the many facial scars and broken horn with a metal replacement tip.

If I got my spelling right, "mousca" is spanish for "fly" and "Musca domestica" is the scientific name for the common housefly. "mouscalites" I envisioned as being some form of wingless, cave dwelling, humanoid fly creatures with a nasty habit of spraying acid and bile onto other lifeforms, then sucking up the dissolved mess later for nutrients.

gotta gotta GOTTA get zbrush one day. It seems too freaking perfect for adding a new layer of depth to what one is trying to convey with their organic characters.... no pun intended by the way.
The thing that caught me though, was the heavy, almost stone-like scales... very visceral and tough looking, rather than the softer, smooth, flat flesh with scale-like markings, that passes for scales on many herps.
Truth be told, I think I'll try something much simpler: either a swan, orca, or flammie: all of which have simple streamlined facial features and fairly smooth texturing... a good start for learning the program.
But yah, all in all, excellent work

Thanks, glad you like it. Although i should point out this is Mudbox not Zbrush... but the two are really very similar programs.
About the scales, my idea with the saurians is that their back scales grow larger and more dense as they age, even more so if they're in a profession that results in frequent injury, such as a soldier. So by the time they reach old(ish) age it's like they have a natural armor plating.
