He actually was a weasel/ferret hybrid for a brief time before I just went with straight weasel, since you can't exactly tell the difference between weasel/ferret and pure weasel anyway. :P
Don't get me wrong, I love ferrets, but I've always totally been a weasel person, so my main has to be a weasel...it's like a rule.

I was officially a rat person for a while, too. Now I'm into opossums more and people relate with me as one. O.o
The main difference I see is that weasel has bigger eyes and equal thickness through body, ferret has <| _ |> eyes, spaced further apart, and longer, thicker and like you said, bottom heavy. Bigger ears I think too. Plus I reckon Spike suits being part carpet-shark lol
