This is a pic back from July '03, when Macumba was still a totally rambunctious kitten. Of course, not much has changed, even though he's almost 4-y-o now.
Personally, I'm not sure there's anything more cute than the totally huge eyes of a leopard kitten!
In this pic, he's standing on the log and about ready to launch! There is nothing more important - including photography - than paying attention to a leopard kitty! Of course, nor is there any animal with a more in-your-face attitude than a leopard.
I still have the collar he's wearing. It's a great souvenir!
More pix coming!

I've got another pic in the gallery of Macumba when he's a lot older (right around 3-y-o), but I still realliy love the kitten pictures.
They're all such adorable terrors when they're little that you can't help but fall hopelessly in love with them, and then it's all over, and they /own/ you forever! :)

I already had commented on the other one of Macumba when I noticed that you'd replied back.. (I just -had- to look over all your gallery.. Too many beautiful creatures, not to look at and admire for their pride, and majesty.)
I think that all kittens are like that.. Once you look at them, you're hooked for life.. Doesn't matter what they eventually turn out to be, you always remember those eyes.. Especially if you are there when they first open.. That's the memories I really remember from the little abandoned kitten I raised, even though he's all grown up now..

Admittedly, I tried my derndest to not "get attached" to Macumba, but he was completely undaunted by my pathetic attempts. He got every single one of his claws hooked into my very soul probably before he'd even turned a year old.
But in the end, he's trained me really well, and we're best buddies. He's been worth it all, no question. :)
