I'm more than likely going to be coloring it in MSPaint; since I'm not so great at coloring scales with my colored pencils, but if you've seen some of my other pic's that were done in Paint, you shouldn't have anything to wory about...

How long do you usually paint in MS?

It depends on how detailed the artwork is. I had some pieces that I had been working on for over 8 months before my hard drive crashed and everything corrupted...I have gotten steadily faster though, usually only taking a month or 2.
As it is with the colored version I'm working on, I'm not going to be able to do the scales and the color swatches that came with the reference art aren't working too well...
