I just love when i see two art pieces which seem basically the same but with completely different themes.
Yours feels (very appropriately) one of those liches determined to reach a goal (i also like that his wraithform is looking at his won skull)
And the other is a soldier in a skeletal robot body projecting a ghostly image of a past self.
Yours is a fantasy piece showing power and determination, this man has reached this point by slowly crawling his way to the top and it feels like he is now reflecting upon his past, empowering himself with what he has accomplished.
The other is a science fiction piece showing despair powerlessness and, yet, still determination because that person (i think it's a woman?) might not have chosen to be used like that but they will still do their job, i see determination, i see "this is what i have, i'm still going to do it".
It basically feels like what the man you depicted would have been in the past when (maybe) he was just a peon in a skeleton army or just a mage subservient to another necromancer... they just work so well together.

Wow, such a great artwork! I also like soo much how "ghost" frames skully thing on a gif, hesitating between nothingness and life. That's very engrossing.
