Felt like doing a really quick drawing/painting in OC, so here you go. Tried to make it toony, sorry about the creepy eyes!
As much as I love ring-tailed lemurs, the other lemurs need more love!
Silky sifakas are sadly very rare, there's probably less than 250 of them left, they've never survived in captivity. They're still being hunted to serve as food and their habitat is still disappearing, making them one of the most endangered species on earth.
They have long silky white fur, with a black or pink face, or anything in between. The males have a brown patch on their chest caused by rubbing their glands against trees.

I keep having synchronicities related to sifaka (and other lemurs, but mostly sifakas) lately, ever since I started to really research them.
This is a really cool style--toony, but lineless and textured. I've always loved that sort of rendering, so this is all sorts of awesome. MORE, I say!

Though I have normal lemur characters that are evolved the same name what they are but a little different since they are evolved. I called my own species I made Kimba's.
But the city they made in there own island is called Lemuria. I don't mind if you use the same name for your race. =)
I always liked it when I 1st heard of it in history the city of Lemuria.
