The "Steelwall of Strulheim" herself. A resident of the Arctic Region where most Nordic influenced Monsters and Humans reside.

The Arctic Region is in a state of a Cold War (haha) between two sides of a political argument, half in part to a Rebellion that did not pan out so well...

Long ago, Nyma's Grandfather (Human) Uri Strulheim, served as a Shield for the now Warlord of the Arctic Region -- Erik Ragnvald (High Orc). The previous Warlord was a self-serving uncaring aristocrat, fighting with the Jarls of the Arctic Region for glory and self-inscribed immortalization. Erik Ragnvald with the help of Uri, arranged an army to stand against him. Even won.

But things change when you are in power -- as Uri learned as Erik soon became a puppet for the Demon Lord, who wished the Northern Realm to change from it's traditions and to corrupt all the land around them to her designs. Many humans and about as many monsters refused this, including Uri who was crippled in both legs and his weapon arm before being tossed out in the cold to die.

Uri settled himself in the village of Vescar, a small logging village where he fell in love with a Wurm. Gave birth to a Wurm daughter (only-child) Nalia, who married a human Tervern, and gave birth to Nyma.

Nyma spends her days helping the people of Vescar, in a time of turmoil between the Traditionalists who seek to keep the glory and culture of the Arctic Region from the Demon Lord's hands. And the Transitionists who seek to accept the Demon Lord's rule and to corrupt all lands.

Uri, her grandfather, now a drunkard and often the butt of a joke of lost glory happily teaches Nyma the way of the Spear and Shield so that his family's honor and legacy remain. Granting his grand-daughter the sole inheritance of his armor, shield and weapons. Nyma who often saves Uri from a drunken fight he cannot win, learn from him in only that she wishes to protect her bedridden mother now that her father serves Erik. (Whom Uri disowned their family over out of pride.)

She was the sole man of the house, and her work ethic is often legendary in Vescar, taking up many jobs to sustain the house.
