Got any tips for fur? Any tutorials you'd suggest? I think that's the next step.

I don't do a lot of pencil work but for fur I just draw tiny lines. For shadows I draw them darker and closer together and for highlights, lighter and further appart. You can also do an underlay of smudged pencil for the general shading then draw the fur over that.

I can do the pencil on paper thing just fine. It's the getting fur texture with color digitally that's difficult for me right now. Love that lion, too!

Well... It's an old tutorial but it still applies. The only difference is that I use a base drawing instead of an actual photo:
