Another of our old commissions, done for RedFox http://djrad-foxx.deviantart.com/ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/leonandrenei/ of his character Leon Dota.
He’s in a dark alley of Anduruna, using his power in retaliation to a street-gang attack. The situation isn’t going so well for the bad guys, and I think they’re just now realizing how screwed they are in this climactic moment where, and I love typing this, he is PUNCHING A GUN!! No, not jumping the gun - punching it! There’s just something about that phrase that I find irresistibly awesome.
“What were you doin’ last night?”
“Oh me? Nothing much… punching a gun.”
Another point to this commission which I had fun with was Leon’s forceful chokehold on the much burlier gangster - it’s fun illustrating the effect that supernatural strength can have on an engagement, where the uneven strengths are flipped. Adding the snow into the scene really polishes it off for me, creating the perfect atmosphere and depth to make the action really come alive in a flurry of violence suspended between the flakes.

The one with the gun must have a really tough shoulder/ upper arm. Personally I thought the bone might shatter before the gun itself. But maybe it just has to do with how fast the fist is going.

Heh - the answer I like is that the gun's shattering transferred the force of the blow laterally before it could impact her shoulder.
The *True* answer, however, is that I didn't think of the stock hitting her shoulder properly.
But who needs that truth stuff? I think I'll go with 'Answer #1' on this from now on.

Somehow I imagine that those muggers are going to regret the loss of guns the most in the morning. I can't imagine they're going to be easy to replace, especially since they'd have to tell their supplier this:
"So what happened to the last one of these I got you?"
"Someone punched it to death."
"..."

Ok when the guy you were going to jump drops the other like ten of your crew and then punches threw your gun...you know you're screwed. On a more artistic note.... this is amazing! I love the scenery and the detail work of each of the characters but the only critique I could think of is I can't help but wonder about the flow of motion. How he went from holding the thug like that to doing what looks like a jab threw the gun. Maybe I'm just not getting it. Oh and the snow really does make this image pop!
For a moment I read the description as power of retaliation. That would be interesting. "No, I can't ambush anybody. But anything I'm attacked with can be returned to them three-fold. You should see me playing goalie."
Under normal physics, that punch would dislocate if not break the gunner's shoulder. Either Leon's strength has a short-range component or we're seeing this before the shock wave has traveled the length of the barrel.

I like the snow leopard-girl. She's pretty cute. Although, I don't like the prospect of her ending up like the other guys...But chivalry is dead after all. So...Hm.
