Apparently the town of Troughwater's mayor is a mare, Mayor Joy. Somewhat a mix of Dirty Harry, Bruce Lee and a Female R. Lee Ermy. Apparently a veteran of the US Civil war, she's got a prothesis leg below the knee on her right leg and a tough broad to boot. Not afraid to show her strengths and attitude and apparently hates idiots.

She kinda reminds me of a tall, Blonde version of Red Shetland (with a prothesis) in attitude. I really love the new animation style and could easily see Sheriff Todd Hayseed as a series on Netflix with good funding. And looking at the comments on youtube, all are positive on this animated short and many want to see more of the characters.

I certainly do, I just wanted to do some quick sketches of Mayor Joy. I might try later my version of her to see how she'd appear.
