The Safety Console, located to the immediate right of the Monitoring Console, is principally concerned with the health and wellness of the TARDIS's inhabitants.

The Materialization Control activates sixty seconds before landing and flashes until the TARDIS materializes completely. If the landing fails or is aborted, the light will continue to flash and begin to buzz.
The Radiation Detector determines whether the outside world contains unsafe levels of radiation.
The Chameleon Circuit scans the outside world in one millisecond before materialization and determines a suitable disguise for the exterior shell of the TARDIS. The Doctor's Chameleon Circuit has been broken for years.
The Automatic Log records every journey a TARDIS makes, as well as associated data.
The Power Stability Dial and Response Dial monitor the TARDIS's consumption of power.
The Navigational Locks (Manual and Auto) are used to lock in a navigational course, once accepted.
