The Interior Console, located to the immediate right of the Navigation Console, is principally concerned with ensuring the comfort of its occupants. The Door Switch is used to open and close the TARDIS doors, while the Scanner Switch is used to control monitors that observe the exterior of the Ship.
The Pause Control temporarily puts the Ship into a state of temporal grace, effectively freezing time outside the vessel.
The Manual Steering is used to guide the TARDIS in flight outside the Time Vortex, or when the automated navigational systems fail.
The Oxygen Gauge keeps the air inside the TARDIS comfortably breathable.
The Cloister Bells alert the pilot to immediate dangers to the structural integrity of the Ship.
The Drift Compensator Lights prevent the TARDIS from drifting off course in space and time.
The Sonic Cancellation Switch is used to cancel any vibrations from the exterior of the ship, keeping its inhabitants from shaking.
The Illumination Switch controls the TARDIS's ambient light.
The Hostile Action Defense System automatically dematerializes the TARDIS when danger to the Ship's integrity is detected, and transports it to a location well outside of danger.
