Weeks ago I was starting a new drawing and had a good chunk of it completed when I was distracted by another idea for a new drawing. So I started on that, and got distracted again after getting half finished with that one. That last picture was completed was "Window View." I then moved back to the second piece which featured my spacesuit design. I had mentioned before how I didn't really like it but drew it anyway. But I was detracted once more and did a simple sketch of a better design. It was just meant to be a sketch but I got carried away again.

I wanted something sleeker and more flexible. I think I went a little too "Iron Man" on it. Like "Window View" this piece was created in both Inkscape and Sketchbook Pro. The suit and background was all drawn and colored using mesh gradients and took less than a week to complete which surprised me considering the complexity. Only the face was done in Sketchbook Pro, which I started and completed an hour before posting. I didn't do the best job on the face but I could not have done it in Inkscape.

This piece made me rethink a lot of things about Inkscape. Just a year ago I was just really getting into Inkscape doing a lot of experiments and tests, some of which I posted in scraps.
