To round out this batch here's a very special story.
My friend orlathegande rmade me one of the toughest challenges I've faced as a writer: Write something I'll like. Just that, no details or a synopsis or even an idea. Just do something that he'd appreciate.
Now I know Orla somewhat well since I've known him for a while, and I concocted a little story about his OC Keith Johnstone. In this tale Keith is seeking his roots back in Ireland and ends up literally stumbling into something he never would have expected.
I had a ton of fun thinking up this story from scratch, though I of course referenced several of Orla's existing commissions to make sure things came together. It also gave me an excuse to examine Irish travel guides, which is not something I get to do often when writing.
I hope you like it, orlathegander and that it lives up to your expectations. I had a hoot!
