Nice fabric folds, they seem consistent and it really gives the pants depth, even with flat color. The downside is it makes the hair/tailpuff look really flat in constrast without the same level of detail. The zipper is the worst aspect, the geometry looks uneven and it really pops because the eye tracks over his center a lot.
You've done a great job developing a non-cookie-cutter look, and have come a hell of a long way in a short time. Super fun to watch!

you're absolutely right, I still need to make more sense out of his hair, it's something that I've always had trouble with, when I first designed it I was ignorant about how its volume in 3 dimensions and now it's coming back to haunt me xx
I'll try to fix that and the zipper before I move on to the back view, which I already sketched out but will probably require just as much fixing XD
