Angus McKracken
Mighty Dwarf Pirate (Fighter)
He was born on a formally uncharted island, now known as Craeg Mhòr. While his clan preferred to keep to themselves, Angus always dreamed of going on adventures and seeing the world. So he built a boat, despite the elders' protest. It sank into the sea. So he built another one. That also sunk into the sea. The third one burned down, fell over, then sank into the sea. But the fourth one stood. It lasted through the mightiest typhoons and storms he'd ever seen. It then sank into the harbor when he made port on the mainland.
Do to a strange series of misfortunes, Angus had to join a pirate crew. First day, he lost his eye when the lookout dropped his dagger from the crow's nest. During a raid on an Elven port city, his rowboat sank and a shark bit his hand off. He lost his foot during a storm when a canon broke lose and rolled over it.
His luck just seemed to get worse and worse until one day a helpful pirate wizard noted he had curse on him and dispelled it. The wizard divined that the curse was placed on him by his clan elders in the hopes that he'd give up and return home. Well... The last part happened.
Angus was furious. He had the captain pull every connection he had and lead them right to Craeg Mhòr. They raised the place to the ground. Slaughtered the men, sold the women and children into slavery. Some of them looked at Angus and asked "Why?" and that's what he thought as well. Why? Why couldn't they just let him go? Why did they have to curse him? Why was him leaving so bad?
Angus let the pirates turn the island into a pirate stronghold and set sail on his own. He hopes to never return to that dreaded place he once called home. He took up his current name of Angus and let his old one be forgotten.
