"I found an old costume jewelry ring years ago and decided to dig it out of the closet to draw it. It was covered in dust so I cleaned it off, but it still didn't shine. The "gems" looked dull. So a sprayed it with some WD-40 and wiped it down to give it a fake sheen. I also had fidget with the lighting which I wasn't completely satisfied with but I just wanted to get the picture done. I the ring was held upright with a bit of chewing gum. I figured this picture would be the perfect opportunity to try out some the the new colored pencils I've been buying. I've got half a dozen different brands on hand. I've used Ohuhu colored pencils as they seem to come with a very large variety of purple shades, very few greys. They don't blend as well as Prismacolors. In fact I used a white Prismacolor to blend and highlight. They are OK-ish, not bad, but far from great. I can't see myself using them as my main pencils, but I might do another picture with them."
