After many hours of finger-breaking work, she is finished. This plush is 100 percent handsewn by your's truely. Her feet have hand-made pouches of beads to give them some weight and make them a bit floppy without being too heavy. She's much larger then I anticipated, easily over a full yard long not including her tail which is easily almost three feet on it's own. Her eyes are hand-painted cut plastic which I harvested...from a waste basket bought at walmart. ^^; It works surprisingly well, and paint takes to it just fine. All of her markings are hand-painted on with various markers and paints, and brushed very frequently during the process to avoid clotting and clumping. So her marking areas are just as soft as the rest of her fur. Her paws proved to be the biggest challenge, as you can tell one forepaw is turned differently then the other. It looks cute, yeah, but was actually accidental. ^^; I'm still very new to plushie making in all honesty, but look forward to upcoming commissions. Her glasses are not included on this plush simply because of safety reasons. Majin rests on my bed along side me...the last thing I want is to put my eye out with her glasses. For future commissions of Majin plushies (and other characters) I will not include glasses depending on the purpose of said plush. If it's ment for children, definatly not.
This is also my first time shaping and clipping with scissors by hand rather then sheering with sheers. It was surprisingly easy. @_@ And so much quicker then using the electric sheers. I think I'll start doing this on suits too. Clipped the face, feet, and some of the legs to show more detail I wanted to make sure you could see those adorable pawpads under all the fluff.
I had alot of fun making this plush despite the hardships. And yes, that is me in the upper corner holding her to give you an idea just how big she is. The girl behind the fur.
