After reading one of my old Star Wars comic books I had the idea to draw a selfportrait how I would look like as a Shistavanen from the Star Wars universe. And this was the result^^
Now that this pic is finished, I will start my next project soon. I really need to draw more pics^^
Shistavanen from Star Wars belong to George Lucas and Disney

The gem necklace is a feature, that sometimes appear on my characters. The reason is, I have got such a necklace in real life, but I hardly can wear it, because in my job it could become dangerous, if I would get stuck with it somewhere in a machine.
The same goes for the celtic cross symbol (the one that is shown on Fennrer´s back in the sketch). I also have an amulette of this kind.
You see, my characters are drawn very close to my real life appearence. If you know my characters, you know me

Oh. .v.
Dang it, I thought it was because of me cause I also own one of those, but....I could only wish it was an emerald, and if it was, the size and cut of it would go for literal thousands! So mine is just Lemurian Quartz. ;v;
That's why I have mine on my Typh, so he wears what I do! And the....headfur is akin to my own hair...of which I will not describe unless asked.
I actually broke my gem shard in half last year in October! It friggin' sucked! But my friend's...well...girlfriend glued right back together perfectly, like it never broke and I couldn't be more thankful for that. I love my Quartz necklace too much to have it break forever, it's cut is perfect, its length is perfect, its shape is perfect, I can't not ever part with it. I want to get a thing that makes it a waist accessory though! I prefer it on my waist for some reason! But...that might be due to how my characters wear gems on their waists...of which I designed intentionally. <v>

George Lucas searched desperatly for all different kinds of aliens for his Mos Eysley cantina scene in episode IV. So they even added a Lon Chany Junior Wolfman Halloween mask, somebody brought with him to the studio^^

lame or not, it was the start of a permanent furry presence that never extinguished from the SW universe.
Fun fact: As the old trilogy was shown on cinema the second time updated with CGI and added former cut out scenes, many fans were upset that the wolfman was exchanged with a computer produced Cthulluh like tentacle alien then...
Star Wars is some kind of a fairy tale after all, at least in my oppinion.

Shistavanen aren't one of the more familiar Star Wars species but amongst my favourite so it's nice to see your take on the species with this selfportrait. Fennrer Valkodlak is quite a handsome and distinguished wolfman as well, though with the eyes and fur colouration and the clothing style and recurrent pendant I could see him as another guise or avatar of Eternal if he was in the Star Wars universe.
I imagine with his name you went with a similar fashion to Voolvif Monn being a pun on Wolf Man, as I think there is the Serbian werewolf or wolf-like vampire called the vukodlak which I just wondered if you might have gotten inspiration for the surname from.
I wonder as well if as one of your characters if Fennrer might end up finding himself in situations where he got captured or otherwise in bondage. With Shistavanen being so isolationist most species weren't as familiar with them and tended towards fear and if Fennrer was one of the more outgoing Shistavanen I'd imagine he'd find himself in some adventures depending on his trade if he was a scout or bounty hunter, or even just a curious Shistavanen whom wanted to get out into the galaxy and see new worlds and meet different species.

hehe thanks much for the nice compliment
my fursona Eternal to be honest is very close to my real life self. And all my "self portraits" in different species allways come as close as possible to my real life self as well. It could be possible that you would identifie my real life person on a photo if there would be one to look at. Perhaps^^
And you are right, I added to the tradition of giving the name like it was done with Voolvif Monn. Fennrer is more or less another pronounciation of Fenris or Fenrir and Valkodlak is an hommage to the serbian mythological creature. And there is more to it. this creature based on a slavic god named Vlcodlac who was the lord of wolves and dogs^^
Fennrer is an adventurer who travels bedween the planetes of this galaxy and he gets involved in many different situations and of course sometimes ends tied up the one way or the other^^
