More experimenting with mixed media pictures. This time I drew two Percherons, with the reference picture kindly supplied by

This is the first thing I've finished in a while. Not sure why, for some reason it just took me two weeks to paint this. I was rather hesitant for most parts of it and very conscious of the fact that anything subtle or faint would be obliterated by the scanner. I'll reserve my judgement on any potential success or failure. I have the usual complaints, the scan looks rather washed out and about an expected amount of detail was lost in scanning process. Original much better and all that.
Media used: watercolour paints and pencils, acrylic paint.
Art by me, photo reference by Minotor61.

No worries! I hope your studies are going well! I'm good thanks, although hating the weather here. (Rain, sleet, snow, rain sleet rain... You get the idea...) Wedding plans are progressing nicely and we sent out the Save the Date cards, which looked awesome on my vellum paper with the tiger couple at the front. Yay for home made stationary. I passed all my December exams and I'm starting college on Monday again. Art wise I've been experimenting lots with water colours, as you can see. ^_^ How are you, my dear? ^_^
I'm glad to hear you passed your exams fine :) I knew you would. I'm sure the invitations look great all printed out ^.^ Weather's been a bit funky here too. Summer's finally decided it's time to show itself, and for the last couple of days we've had bright sunny days, and it's rained down cats and dogs at night. Weird. x3
I am well :3 Finally doing some sculpture for my art class this week! :D I might post it when I'm done but I might just email a picture to you to show you :3 It's been a lot of fun making him.

Gotta hate the weather. I keep telling my boss that we should relocate to Australia for winters, bu she keeps on telling me to sod of. No idea why... Nice consequence of my exams was a huge raise I was given today. *is very happy, but still not rich*
I look forward to seeing your sculpture! If you'll email me photos, I'll reciprocate by emailing you a scan of a non-furry painting I did recently. ^_^

Come to Australia, you might accidentally get killed!
Generally I don't like Australia. People think the stereotypical Aussie is laid back and down to earth but that's far from the truth. I think they must have mistaken a New Zealander for an australian x3 They're highly strung and very prejudiced when it comes to religion, sexuality or any kind of difference of opinion :S

Interesting. I had no idea. As you said, I thought they were all very friendly and laid back. But then, people probably think all Brits walk around with umbrellas wearing tweed and bowler hats and have to stop everything mid afternoon to have tea and small cucumber sandwiches... I still want to visit Australia one day though. And New Zealand too, although I'm slightly suspicious of all the sheep you have...
4 sheep to a person here in New Zealand. |3 Yeah Australia and NZ have a joke which can be applied to either. How do you know an Australian practises safe sex? They spray paint an X on the backs of the animals that kick! :D... x_x
Going to Australia for a visit is fine, just wouldn't live there x3 I'm also keen to move over to England to live, although I am worried that you guys apparently still use coal gas for stuff like heating and ovens :S

Oh yes, gas all the way. Gas hobs are far superior to electric ones! Although I did freak out the first time I had to turn on the oven by switching on the gas and then waiving a match at the back of the oven. O_o These days we have a combination cooker - gas for the rings and electricity for the oven bit.
You say you want to move to England, but omg the weather sucks. It's just rain, rain, rain every bloody day. Plus some sleet occasionally if we're really lucky.

No no gas is great but coal gas is poisonous o_O The stuff we use isn't. I didn't realise this until the other day when mum told me someone died in their home over in England because the pilot light for their water heater went out. I'm not sure what we use, I think it's propane or something similar, which isn't poisonous and doesn't have any problems with carbon monoxide poisoning >_>
That weather sounds perfect for me, actually |3

Oh yes, I know the stuff we use is poisonous. We have carbon monoxide alarms along side normal smoke alarms. But what can I say? It seems that Brits are so depressed by the weather that they a certain about of death wish.
How can you possible like rain?!?!? I walked Sinta this morning in the drizzle and I was up to my knees in mud.
