It’s Team Night-Lightning! They might not all like each other, but damn if they are an efficient gang of rescuers. Well, except that one that keeps going on how he’s actually a human though...that’s just silly.

If the Vulpix is Mina, the same one from Reva's last PMD pic from a few days ago, she's probably the Leader -- which would make the ex-human a possible Lancer. Murkrow's likely the Smart Guy, though they could also fill a decent mentor role outside the group if either the Marill or the Togedemaru fills the role of the team strategist; in the latter scenario, if the Marill's the Smart Guy, the Togedemaru is a good Big Guy candidate (by virtue of Steel-types being durable -- anybody who thinks the team tank has to be physically large ought to take it up with Toph Beifong). The Caterpie seems like a classic Tagalong Kid character, so one of the others would need to pull double-duty as the Heart -- my money would be on Mina, since her position as the head of the team could also serve as the emotional center of the group.
That's just my take on it, now that I've had time to mull it over. Also note that, despite my using the shorthand trope names for each group, any of the team roles can be unisex: aside from Mina and the Nickit, we don't know the rest of the team's gender distribution, and I can point to examples of all of the roles that have been filled by either a male or female character (see also my mention of Toph as a Big Guy character). Just to preemptively shush the pedants.

I will drop the teeeeensiest bit of lore since I know if I do any more it’ll be a new comic and I’ve SWORN THOSE OFF TIL I FINISH ONE.
Myra the Murkrow is the aging leader whose team is well known for their legendary exploits but has since drifted away. She has gathered this team by chance for one more shot at glory, but she doesn’t make this publicly known.
Mina the vulpix has no desire to be on a rescue team, but circumstances forced her and the nickit-human into helping someone in danger, catching the eye of Myra. Despite the snooty attitude, Mina’s beauty and voice was able to calm the rescuee in a way that avoided disaster. She’s only on the team due to the perception of the village, since being regarded as a hero is somewhat hard to shake in a small town. Deep down though she likes helping and has a kind heart. She HATES liars.
The togedemaru and the marril used to be on another team together, defining expectations that a water and lighting type could work together. Unfortunately, that type difference came into play and cost them a rescue, and they’ve been fighting ever since. The cool headed maril used to enjoy having the brash, hard hitting togedemaru to balance her indecisions at times, but they are only here as specialists recruited by favor to Myra.
The nickit just wants to go home, but he truly has a giving heart and wants to help, in direct contrast to his ‘kind’s’ usual thieving ways. A sincere and honest guy, the fact that he is immediately distrusted for his species ways heavy on him, but he powers through it. He is working with Myra, herself an outcast in search of former fame, to do good and get clues on how to change back.
Carter the Caterpi was the first person Mina and Reno (the nickit) saves together, and follows them around with stars in his eyes. His father delivers the mail, so he’s taken up that post to deliver this team it’s dispatches.
Unseen is a pain in the butt wigglytuff that is a gentle, peaceful mediator that’s always trying to get the foxes to realize they actually do kinda like each other, a statement that is constantly rebuffed at every given moment.
And that’s team night light! (Ning)

Cool, now we know more about Team NLN -- it's always neat to see the behind-the-scenes details like this, so thanks for chiming in and indulging us weirdos down in the comments section.
Seems like my take was more or less accurate, too, which is nice to know: we've got Mina as a reluctant Leader-by-circumstance and Heart for the team of misfits, Reno as the more earnest and direct Lancer, the Togedemaru as the (literally) hard-headed Big Guy, the Marill as a contrasting cool-headed (possible) Smart Guy, Myra and the Wigglytuff (who may or may not be the same one from the PMD: Explorers games) as Mentor-type support characters with varying degrees of involvement in the team's actions (with Myra plausibly filling in as a Leader early on, until Mina is forced by circumstances to take charge), and Carter as a surprisingly un-traumatized Tagalong Kid. On the whole, a pretty solid framework for interpersonal dynamics and character-driven storytelling, whenever you decide to do something with it.
