LoL DONE. It's bound in a book now, but the book isn't totally done so I'll just take photos of that once it is. So here are the illustrations.
Assignment: An alphabet book; my subject is mythological creatures, beings, and monsters.
3 weeks, 26 paintings (4.5x6"). Acrylic paints on pastel paper.
The creatures in the books are labeled, but I scanned these before I added those:
Yeti
----Himalayan; spirits ranging in form from ursine to apelike, Yeti are bound to protect their mountain.
Zu
----Sumerian; This ancient and demonic bird of storms aspired to rule over the gods themselves. It stole the Tablets of Destiny and with this power, controlled the Universe until the tablets were rested from it and balance restored.
