pretty much what a GP39 is, a GP30 or Gp35 that's been rebuilt

yay & seriously am near BNSF its close to 2 blocks or less UP is 3-4miles south UP main is 50miles south

this is only a couple blocks from where I live

Like I said,

All of the classic power of BNSF is mostly on their Chicago-Minneapolis mainline or throughout Minnesota and most of the upper Midwest.

All the classic power comes out of Minneapolis Northtown yard which is one of the biggest classification yards in the Upper Midwest.

Take your pick on any of the power on that train because all of it is former Santa Fe or BN power.

Anything low horsepower is on local freights of BNSF which is lucky and kinda sad. You know the units are on their final assignments because local service signals a near end.

I find it amazing BNSF still likes to keep the classic stuff around.

I wish I lived on a corridor like where you do so I can still relive the days when I was young and too naive to have a camera with me.

Nice catch. BNSF manifests going through my town up to New Westminster, BC or south to Everett, WA, often have un-rebuilt GP-30s in the consist. I should try and catch a pic of one sometime!

Nope! The ones I'm talking about are based out of Interbay Yard in Seattle. There's a lot of rare/unusual power at Interbay.
