JT the red wolf has been a Zootopian reporter just long enough to realize his heart isn't in it anymore. He's sick of gotcha journalism, low pay and being disrespected. When he corrals the famous, reclusive celebrity chef Kelsey into an interview, only for the Saluki to offer him a job in the marketing department at his restaurants, the wolf has no idea that his life is about to change forever, in more ways than one...

I was in between commissions and looking for something fun to write when I remembered the goofy JT subplot I snuck into a few of Kelsey's commissioned stories last year. Imagine my surprise when I suddenly realized I'd written Just Desserts a year ago, just when I was changing careers IRL, leaving my journalism job to move into a completely different, and completely better, industry. You'll notice that some aspects of this story are more personal and metaphorical than some of my writing tends to be. Let me know what you think!

I wrote this as a gift for  Kelsey The Saluki, both because he's been a repeatedly consistent supporter and commissioner of mine and because he's just one of the doggone nicest furries I've met in the fandom!

The one issue is now that I've given him a role in the city, I want/need art of JT as a Zootopian citizen...
