Born in a clutch of five to the ruling figures of the Sublime Imperium in its 219th Millennium, Uriel Vossus Ultanos is the son of Uriel the Fifteenth. A mighty ruler in his own right who had gained the crown by convincing the Paragavatus of the time to make him her heir over her squabbling direct offspring. Uriel the Younger is recognised across the galaxy and beyond as many things: A scholar, a fighter, a philosopher, an explorer and a charmer. Coronated in the 350th century of the Sublime Imperium’s 219th millennium, Uriel Vossus Ultanos is the 37th Paragavatus, or Master-King, and recognised from span-to-span as Uriel the Golden for his amber scales, skill with words and a vision that has built on the accomplishments of his father, bringing the Sublime Imperium into a renewed era of expansion and prosperity.
As was tradition among royals, Uriel was raised by his father and his extended family as a fighter as well as a scholar within the imperial palace. As was expected of his status in the imperial aristocracy, Uriel was trained to be well-read and a capable fighter. Benefitting from a military education at the Soluris Royal Military Academy on Alcanti’s moon Arcaren, Uriel is familiar with a variety of martial practices, particularly marksmanship and various forms of hand-to-hand combat with a longsword.
Uriel inherited the position of Master King from his clutch-brother, Korr. His coronation was infamously postponed for thirteen years on a vow he made that he would not receive a ceremony until the war which contributed to his brother's death was resolved. While mostly celebrated as an act of humility, court psychologists sometimes talk that Uriel was after vengeance. As Uriel was known for participating directly in field operations during his tenure within the imperial military both before and during the Mecha-Wasp War.
Although managing an accomplished military career, Uriel’s greatest passion lies in exploration and diplomacy. Fascinated by the thousand cultures of the Imperium from a young age, he desires connecting the universe. The empire he inherited is one he has shaped to be one where all citizens, regardless of identity, feel a place of belonging.
