Here is the new reference sheet from the genderbender of my main OC : Van Dracorifianne, an OC that has his own story but all based on the universe of one of my favorite anime : Free but also a part of Tales of Zestiria for his beloved. His beloved is actually the "dark/tainted" version of Sorey (to which I chose to put long hair to make the difference between the two Sorey) This is, unlike my main couple, a gay couple this time. It was difficult to create his story, but Tales of Zestiria does not really appear in this story, it's just Sorey, nothing more, the rest is entirely based on the Free universe which I really like. I was heartbroken to learn of the death of the mangaka...which is a huge loss for me :'(

Name : Van Dracorifianne.
Age : 19 years old.
Specie : human (man)
Orientation : gay (homosexual)
Animal : manta ray.
Personality : serious, can be easily carried away, kind, mysterious, seldom cares for others, introverted.
Family : Sorey (boyfriend, this is the "dark/tainted" version of Sorey), unknown father (left before his birth), Cecilia (mother, he love his mother so much)
Love : paleontology, archeology, egyptology, Latin, swimming (he practices a lot), mochi, loneliness (although Sorey's arrival will change all that), reptiles, dinosaurs, dragons, dark purple/dark blue color, poppy and dogs (German Shepherd, Shiba and Husky)
Hates : losing (he's really bad loser xD), peppers, white onions, cockroaches, people who think themselves important, free violence.
Others : passionate about everything old, Van dreams of working in archeology, egyptology or paleontology. He knows that the studies he will have to do will be difficult and expensive and it can make him sad if we talk about this subject. Van has an excellent talent for swimming that he often practices (not to say all the time) and he does not hesitate to give himself to the maximum in competitions to be seen by potential coach. He will fall in love with Sorey the first time he sees him, however, the fear of hurting him because of his mood will prevent him from telling him how he feels. However when they are officially in a relationship, Van will do everything to make the one he calls "his supporter" or "his love" happy despite the mockery and insults of others (including his swim club)
Underwear : his underpants are dark purple and dark blue with a light gray border around the waist.

Questions and answers :

- Why did you make a genderbender version ?
For fun but especially because I liked asking drawings to Sako88 from DA concerning genderbender of my main couple. It came naturally afterwards and I decided to make him a full-fledged main OC, paired with the "dark/tainted" version of Sorey ^^ I did not expect he to be very much liked xD

- Why did you choose ray manta as the representative animal for Van ?
I would have liked to choose the dolphin or the orca but they are already taken (thank you Haruka and Makoto :p) In addition, Van's swim is special, because underwater as on the surface, he "propels" with his arms like manta rays do for swimming. His way of diving is also weird because he dashes and seems to "hit" the air with his arms before splitting the water with his hands (a bit like a manta ray which leaps out of the water)

- In his story do we see the protagonists of Free ?
Yes, we see them and they are also friends with Van ^^ It happens that Van argues with Rin but it always ends well, having the same behavior. Van is therefore part of the Iwatobi Swim Club and Sorey is one of their supporters.
