Hey noodle what did you do today?
Well I woke up around noon and really didn't get back to bed. I covered up in the living room and watched Jim play Spidermans, but eventually I wanted to head out and about. I volunteered to drive Wes back to his car at the Cellar Door, and after he threw up again (He drank a LOOOOOT the night before), he and I braved the cold rain and I drove him to his van.
After dropping him off, I headed to the post office, where I was able to thankfully use the self-service center to have my package post marked and sent toward Virginia for grandma's present. It was just a smol angel painting, but it was a really good one, I think! There were loads of old people in there, which is why I was probably able to go to the self-service kiosk without having to wait in line (old people dun like tech!). I printed off a label, then after confirming it was a-okay with this volunteer standing in the entrance aiding people, I left it with him and headed off to get food.
Or tried. The parking lot was sooo backed up, and a bunch of people were just parking in the middle of the lot, making it impossible for more people to enter the lot, or to pull out of spaces. I eventually forced my way out, then braved more rain and headed through back roads, up Olive, and to the Cookout. I had to go bathroom, then after I did so I ordered 4 of their smol burgs and a conke. I ate two while driving home (still rain!), then when I got there I headed downstairs and spent a lot of time trying to get a fire started. The wood was not the best, either 'cause it needed to dry out more (doubtful, since it was already really light and flaky) or because it had gotten wet in the rain (Very likely, tho I didn't feel moisture).
Eventually I got some logs to smolder, then headed upstairs and warmed up the other two burgs I had gotten. I ate them downstairs, then goobed off for a bit online before doing my diary entries for the past two days...A lot to remember, but heck! What an experience! Good to recooperate tho, and the day is really good for that! <3
I wound up relaxing in bed to a warm fire and a flash flood warning around 8ish. Early!
I hope everyone has a party-hardy recovery rain day! <333
It Icewolf! :D
