Okay, a not great cat picture. Explanation is in order.

Fact 1: The Squirt (Demonic looking black one) loves The Up, the area on top of the snake cage with a cat bed, her place.
Fact 2: Kitt, (the fuzzy gray ears) recently discovered The Up.
Fact 3: The Squirt HATES Kitt and will not get near him (unless food is involved, and then not without hissing and other forms of aggression.)

Observation: My wife took this photo a couple of weeks ago. Kitt in The Up and the Squint unwilling to get in the bed with him, but unwilling to leave The Up. No hissing, no growling. This is momentous on the order of Middle East peace. Squirt has hated on him for three years now with no sign of stopping.

I was hoping the addition of Marmalade would change the dynamic between the two. I think it might be working. Kitt and Marmalade are to the friendly stage and roughhouse around the house. That means Kitt chases her less. She use to attack him, now he outweighs her and chases her.

I have seen this arrangement several times, it is not total peace (She is growling at him right now in the dining room) but it is movement.
