Exile, outcast. Paxis has never had it easy, being a Mountain Gnoll who was different than the others. He didn't want to exert dominance over other races, he wanted to understand them. He didn't want to fight them, he wished to talk. It was this that caused him to hesitate at a crucial moment and cost the group he lived with dearly. Shunned and exiled, he thought he was doomed to die alone in the wilderness until he met a group of adventurers, of whom a pair of Dragonborn took pity on the starved and ragged Gnoll by taking him with them. Paxis was grateful to them, and begun to learn how to help his newfound group to help return their kindness by being able to fight alongside them.
